There are far to many wool fabric to class them in a few categories. From woolen to worsted, crepe to challis, felted to tweed, jacquard to jersey.

The most common wool fabrics in the textile industry comes from the fleece of a goat or a merino sheep, although luxurious wool types are borrowed from other animals like the camel, alpaca, vicuña, llama or angora goat.
